Oopsy daisy, Fine Art for Kids (i.e., not a Frozen character in sight)
/Being the basic mom that I am, most of my house is furnished and decorated by three main sources: Target, Ikea, and my children. Why? Well, mostly due to convenience, affordability, and obligation.
But every once in a while I like to buy something special - something I don't get at the same place I buy my milk and cereal. And what could be more convenient than buying that special piece online?
Recently, the folks at Oopsy daisy, Fine Art for Kids, reached out to me to see if I'd be interested in reviewing a couple of their products. After poking around their site for longer than I'd like to admit (I got sucked in - they have lots of cute stuff!), I decided I was interested.
They sent me two pieces from their Easter Collection - The Hatched Night Light (left) and the Happy Easter Placemat:
Not only is the night light absolutely a-frickin-dorable, but its quality also surpassed my expectations. The artwork is printed on canvas covering a wooden frame, and the night light base swivels so it will work whether your outlet is vertical or horizontal.
Here it is in its new home in my toddler's room (how cute is it?):
This night light (or one of Oopsy daisy's 200+ others) would make a great baby shower gift, or would be a great toy-alternative (how many Elsa dolls can one own?) for your own child's next birthday or other special occasion.
The placemat is also super cute and easy to clean (just wipe it down with water and a little dish soap). It made my 6-year-old's pizza and salad feel a little fancier:
I've never been big on placemats, but Oopsy daisy's hundreds of options made me realize they could be a fun and easy way to make mealtime a little more special for my little ones. Again, a placemat would be a nice alternative to a toy the next time I am looking for a children's gift.
In addition to night lights and placemats, Oopsy daisy also sells canvas wall art, framed prints, growth charts, wall decals, lamps, and other highly-giftable items featuring work from over 90 artists. Oopsy daisy's products are all made or assembled in the U.S., and many of the pieces are customizable. Considering the quality of the products and Oopsy daisy's commitment to U.S.-made products, their prices are surprisingly reasonable.
I know I was only supposed to review the couple products I received, but I couldn't help sharing some of my favorite pieces from their site (I kind of want the ballerina canvas for my own room):
