Slow Cooker Barbecue Chicken Breasts
/This is one of the simplest things I've ever made that I still feel justified calling "home-made." I mean there are only 7 ingredients, and 2 of them are salt and pepper. Even if you claim you can't cook, you can throw 7 ingredients in a slow cooker and make your family believe you can cook. After 6 to 8 hours of low and slow cooking, the chicken is tender and bursting with sweet, tangy barbecue flavor.
What You Will Need:
4 to 5 pounds boneless chicken breasts (trimmed and cut into approximately 4 oz pieces)
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
6 oz grape jelly
16 to 20 oz barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons Sriracha (or more, depending on your desired spice level)
What to Do:
Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
In a mixing bowl, combine grape jelly, barbecue sauce, and Sriracha and mix well.
Place chicken in slow cooker, add sauce, and mix until chicken is coated.
Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Tell your family you spent 8 hours making dinner.
