Slow Cooker Barbecue Chicken Breasts

This is one of the simplest things I've ever made that I still feel justified calling "home-made." I mean there are only 7 ingredients, and 2 of them are salt and pepper. Even if you claim you can't cook, you can throw 7 ingredients in a slow cooker and make your family believe you can cook. After 6 to 8 hours of low and slow cooking, the chicken is tender and bursting with sweet, tangy barbecue flavor.

What You Will Need:

  • 4 to 5 pounds boneless chicken breasts (trimmed and cut into approximately 4 oz pieces)

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Garlic Powder

  • 6 oz grape jelly

  • 16 to 20 oz barbecue sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha (or more, depending on your desired spice level)

What to Do:

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine grape jelly, barbecue sauce, and Sriracha and mix well.

  3. Place chicken in slow cooker, add sauce, and mix until chicken is coated.

  4. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

  5. Tell your family you spent 8 hours making dinner.
