Basic Mom Week in Review - 11/22/15
/5 Things That Actually Happened This Week and the Lessons I Learned
1. My daughter made this special note for me:
Lesson: It's nice that my daughter acknowledges my love for sleep, but a nap would mean a lot more to me than a Post-it note.
2. My 2-year-old fell asleep in the car while eating pretzels.
Lesson: This is why toddlers can't drive. Also, I should look into getting a little handheld vacuum to keep in my car.
3. My first parody hit 2 million views on Youtube. (Also, it has 680 comments, about half of which are related to how terrible my voice is, and two of which are borderline death threats.)
Lesson: Youtube is a weird place. Good thing I'm working on another video that will open me up to unreasonably-angry criticism from people I don't know.
4. I found this note from my husband while emptying my 6-year-old's lunchbox, and I swear it was the first day this year that she actually ate all of the vegetables in her lunch.
Lesson: I'll need to start a list of angry/threatening characters to add to my lunch-note-writing repertoire.
5. While playing hide-and-seek, my 2-year-old tried to hide in the refrigerator.
Lesson: My 2-year-old is terrible at hide-and-seek (but her daily quests for string cheese have made her very good at opening the refrigerator).
