/5 Things That Actually Happened This Week and the Lessons I Learned
1. My 2-year-old asked her Grammy to look at pictures on her phone. So, my mother-in-law opened her photos app and handed her phone to my 2-year-old. My 2-year-old then promptly closed the photos app and opened the Netflix app.
Lesson: My 2-year-old has already mastered the old bait-and-switch.
2. One morning while my 2-year-old was playing in her new play kitchen, I overheard her shouting, "I need coffee!"
Lesson: My 2-year-old spends too much time around me.
3. This exclamation from my 6-year-old: "Mom come here! Style situation: I don't know which shoes to wear."
Lesson: My 6-year-old also spends too much time around me.
4. My 2-year-old stole a pair of boots from her big sister's room and wore them around the house for a while.
Lesson: At least she didn't have any trouble picking out a pair of shoes.
5. This conversation with my 6-year-old after I momentarily misplaced my 2-year-old:
Me: Where is your sister?
6-Year-Old: Under her bed.
Me: Her bed? You mean your bed?
6-Year-Old: No, her bed.
Me: But, she can't fit under her bed.
Lesson: I was wrong:
