Basic Mom Week in Review - 06/14/15
/5 Things That Actually Happened This Week and the Lessons I Learned
1. I tried to teach my toddler how to wink. She pretty much just just blinked aggressively.
Lesson: Watching a toddler try to wink is hilarious.
2. There was a bug in the wagon, so my toddler put her legs up on the sides. My 6-year-old told her little sister she was "clever" and followed suit.
Lesson: My children are nicer to each other when they have a common enemy.
3. My toddler insisted that I get her a cup of milk and then proceeded to dip her apple slices in it. Then she ate them.
Lesson: Kids are weird.
4. My mom came over for dinner, and before we sat down to eat, my 6-year-old dressed her up and did her makeup. After dinner, I asked her to move her car so my husband could get out of the driveway. Like the champion Grandma that she is, she showed her full princess-self to my neighborhood.
Lesson: Grandmas have no shame.
5. My toddler got into our Hello Kitty Bingo game, which resulted in bingo chips EVERYWHERE. When I took off my bra at the end of the day, I found two bingo chips stuck to my boob.
Lesson: There are limits to what I will take pictures of for my blog. Poop, yes. Boobs, no. Also, apparently nursing two children has left me with no feeling in my boobs because those chips left imprints, and I had no clue they were there.
Bonus: My oldest "graduated" from kindergarten!
Lesson: I must be doing something right.
