Basic Mom Week in Review - 12/04/16
/5 Things That Actually Happened This Week and the Lessons I Learned
1. I beat my 3-year-old in Memory. She didn't handle it well.
Lesson: This girl is not prepared for the real world. I must continue to beat her soundly until she learns to pay a-freaking-ttention.
2. I couldn't remember the words for the medicine cabinet, so I called it the floss closet. This led me to wonder if we are the only family with 10 individual containers of floss in the bathroom.
Lesson: I think it's time to clean out the floss closet.
3. My 3-year-old locked my husband out of his office.
Lesson: That's one way to get Daddy to stop working.
4. I washed my 7-year-old's bedding . . . along with a blue crayon.
Lesson: I didn't shake the bedding out well enough. ALWAYS shake the bedding out well enough.
5. My family has been obsessively listening to the Hamilton Soundtrack, which has resulted in very cute things, like this note my 7-year-old wrote to our elf . . .
And in very terrifying things like my 3-year-old learning a new word, then proceeding to take off her clothes and run around the house and climb on things (and people) yelling, "Anarchy!"
Lesson: Somebody save me.
