Basic Mom Week in Review - 06/11/17
/5 Things That Actually Happened This Week and the Lessons I Learned
1. I immaturely chuckled to myself when I signed my 8-year-old's planner:
Lesson: Elementary school traditions have changed since I was in school - we just had memory books.
2. This conversation between my husband and my 3-year-old:
Husband: Stop putting that noodle on your cup.
3-Year-Old: But I'm making a scarf!
Lesson: Honestly, it's probably better for my kid to use ramen noodles for imaginary play than to ingest them, so . . . I'll give her this one.
3. I told my 3-year-old to find a nice place outside to put her plant. She chose here:
Lesson: I guess we'll just mow around it.
4. I woke up one morning to a strange dog eating breakfast on my kitchen table:
Lesson: My kids probably need a pet.
5. My 8-year-old took it upon herself to make a sign for our garage sale:
Lesson: I'm beyond grateful that my sensitive daughter was at school when I discovered this sign because I laughed very hard for a very long time. Also, I can't stop saying "Grodge" to myself.
